Supplier Code of Conduct

The Fehlig Group Supplier Code of Conduct outlines the aspirations we have for fair, safe, healthy working conditions and sustainable business operations throughout our supply chain.

 We seek suppliers who are engaged in their sustainability journey and committed to continuous improvement. We wish to build partnerships with companies that deliver added value by engaging their employees, investing in their communities and protecting the planet. We are a small, woman-owned business and will give preference to working with other small, local and minority-owned businesses.

The components of this Code align with values established internally at The Fehlig Group and were derived from standards outlined by well-respected global organizations supporting ethics, human rights, labor and the environment.

As a long-time champions of corporate social responsibility and sustainability, we strive to develop partnerships with suppliers who share our values and are committed to following good environmental, social and governance practices as noted below.

  • Ethics & Community

    We build business relationships based on trust and mutual accountability. 

     

    ·      Commit to business integrity consistent with the principles of honesty, integrity and fairness.

    ·      Prohibit and detect corruption, bribery, acceptance of improper gifts and the appearance of conflicts of interest.

    ·      Foster and cultivate an inclusive workplace and explore ways to increase diversity and celebrate differences. 

    ·      Support communities and get involved in local social and environmental outreach efforts.

  • Human Rights & Labor

    We protect the safety, well-being and dignity of all individuals.

     

    ·      Provide a safe and healthy working environment through operations, facilities, procedures that protect workers and comply with all applicable quality, health, safety and environmental regulations.

    ·      Strive for equal treatment of employees, free of harassment and discrimination, and with working hours and compensation consistent with applicable local, state and national laws.

    ·      Prohibit any form of involuntary labor as identified by the International Labour Organization.

  • Environment

    We conduct business in a safe, responsible and sustainable way.  

     

    ·      Consider impacts to the environment and biodiversity (e.g., land, water and wildlife).

    ·      Reduce waste, energy and water consumption and greenhouse gas emissions in business operations wherever possible.

With strong partnerships built on a foundation of principles and accountability., we can drive positive environmental and social impact and help people and communities thrive.

 

As a small, woman-owned business with strong ties to our local community, and a champion of sustainable best practice, The Fehlig Group will give preference to partnerships with small, local and minority-owned businesses as defined by the Small Business Association as well as to fellow certified members of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and fellow certified B Corporations.
